Hello,

Yes, by all means. The sponsons were fitted new last year. I wasn't happy with the fit so I had them taken off. I'm told that someone who knows what they're doing (and who does not want to spend the money needed for a bespoke retube) could adapt them to fit a similar hull shape and length.

As best as I can measure, the diameter of the tube at the cone seam is 440mm, reducing to 170mm at the cone end. I've attached a photo of one of the cones.

Hope this helps...

Cheers

Okay cheers a couple of my pals have a boat with poorly tubes it's old & not realy worth a retube but these might make a cheap option for them , I'll measure the diameter theirs & have a chat to see if they want to go down that route
Thanks for the info y

Just measured their boat an old northcraft & the circumference is 1630 giving a diameter of around 520 which is way bigger than your tubes & even bigger than my 7.4 delta tubes so they wont fit without major surgery to the transom & might look weird being a lot smaller. The vipermax seems to have quite slender tubes & theirs are at the opposite end of the scale.
A pity cos that would make a cheap easy option.
I'm sure someone will take them on as it's a cheap way to refresh an older boat good luck with the sale👍

Thanks for getting back so promptly. That's fine, I fully understand. Yes, compared with quite a number of makes, the Vipermax tubes are quite slender. Fingers crossed someone can make use of them...
