Fixed or hand held?
I think I might have a Raymarine 55e unused factory reconditioned unit in the shed, I'll have a look over the weekend. You can have it for a £50 donation to the RNLI + postage

I've found it out, unfortunately it's got my old mmsi number programmed in, so it must have been fitted at some point, all be it briefly. I wonder if there's a dealer out there willing to reset the mmsi in aid of a good cause😊??

I will do some digging regarding a reset.
thanks

It means it will work, but they come looking for the wrong boat. It really needs reprogramming, it's a five minute job for a dealer. Some radios will let you change it once yourself?

Yes, but unfortunately not this one. Just checked the online guide for this model, it requires a dealer to reprogramme.
Looks like the nearest dealer is Plymouth, a two hour drive from me.

You're absolutely right and its waterproof which is just what I need. Found a dealer in Kingswear which is a ferry ride from where I'm working at the minute. Dave, would you mind sending me your contact details in a PM? thanks simon
