volvo AD31 & stern drive for sale in US
I have a 130hp volvo ad31 diesel and Volvo stern drive I removed from a military Zodiac I bought at auction, that I would like to sell. The engine was stripped of the sea water pump, alternator, starter, turbo and perhaps other items before I bought it - so I've never tried to start it and don't know the condition or history. Initially I could turn it by hand, but rain water got into the starter hole and it looks rusty now so may not turn.
The stern drive looks OK, turns easily, and shifts by hand without difficulty. It's missing pins that hold the hydraulics, and the shift/linkage cover. I haven't operated it under a load so can't guarantee the condition.
The boat was made in '88, so I assume the engine and stern drive are the same. I've attached pictures of both, as they appeared before removal from the boat. I'll sell them for any reasonable offer. Located in Iowa, USA.
