Its a Yamaha 5hp short shaft with a 12 month warranty and only weighs 21kg. It was a standby motor on a reservoir so has only been used in fresh water. Paul

I have a 2 stroke 8hp Yamaha from c.1998. I have bought all the paints and new propeller to renovate it. You could either have it when it's done or take the materials to do it yourself, get it cheaper in exchange for some elbow grease. It was serviced two years ago but not used since so would benefit from another service probably.

Hi,

I have a Yamaha 5hp standard shaft which was a standby motor on a resorvoir and has therefore never been in salt water. It has a built in fuel tank, plus and remote fuel tank connector, forward, neutral and reverse gears and weighs 21kg. Outboard engineer Andy Clark has just completed a total overhaul of the motor and it comes with a 12 month warranty. I am looking for £450.

I have a Mariner 8hp 2 stroke standard shaft on a tiller that has been very reliable. Have been using it on SIB but upgraded to a 15hp back end of last year.
