Wanted: Evinrude/Johnson twin 4hp LONG leg/engine

I have a 1982 Johnson 4hp super-light twin into excellent running order.

Looking for the long shaft conversion kit, or preferably the whole leg. Also happy to swap my s/s leg for your long-shaft.

I think any 1982> leg with a forward/neutral clutch will fit.

I got one of them, but I need the length so not for sale!

Just a note to say the conversion kit is a spacer that fits between your gearbox & leg, along with a longer drive shaft & water tube (and in your case a clutch rod) . The leg itself is "constant"

As for the clutch, I think I'm safe in saying that one off a non clutched engine will also work, as the "complicated" bit is just a spacer, so all your clutch gear (top & bottom) won't change.

Might be worth giving DA Marine in Tayport a call. He had a pile of them a while back.

And yes, they are ridiculously light!

Thanks for the advice. Spoke to Davie at TA Marine and they're helping me out.

Ah well, seems they're not able to help.

Anyone got a 4hp Evinrude / Johnson long shaft lurking in their shed?
