Wanted, PVC Wear patch Material
I want to put two wear patches along the tops of the tubes on our Bombard Aerotec 380 to cover up some pin pricks etc.
Ideal requirement would be 2 pieces:-
Black in colour - Or Bombard/Zodiac Red.
PVC to match rest of boat - easier to glue PVC to PVC.
Non-Slip - nice but not that important.
@36"long by 8" wide - or thereabouts.
Has anyone got anything lying about that would fit the bill and they would like turned into beer money?
Thanks
Nasher.

Is it hard to attach PVC wear patches. I have a Valiant rib PVC tubes. The trunking which links the steering to the engine rubs against the tubes. Should I be concerned? If so is it hard to place a weaing patch. Would i do it to inflated or deflated tubes?

It sounds like you do need to protect the tubes.
It’s not hard to attach the wear patches, just the normal 2-part glue to be used, and in all honesty for what they are doing normal contact adhesive works.

If that's a fairly recent Valiant then it is made from PU. You can use the Bostik 2402 or NE486 adhesive on this and use Acetone to degrease and prep. It is a lot easier to use than the PVC adhesive.
I also have some of the orange kicking about which you are more than welcome to if required.
