I've got a Rollercoaster 750 i.e. 750kg max gross weight
swing beam at rear and fixed beam at front. Majority of u-bolts changed by me, wheels (inc spare) shot blasted and repainted , new tyres. Bearing savers fitted.
Good tidy trailer that was used for a 5.4SR. (in fact there will also be a 5.4 SR up for sale shortly too as I found one almost as new for a good price - just got to finish off some minor refurb work first unless someone wants to talk to me first!)
Only reason for sale is that my current car requires a braked trailer above 660kg load.

You may be over 750kg with that big V4 and all the other stuff you're putting on board.

I know, Nos said the same a few weeks back. Was wondering if I'd get it under the weight by keeping the fuel tanks in the back of the van when travelling?

It may be worth looking at fitting brakes to the trailer if its the right price, bearing in mind a lot of secondhand braked trailers will need a full brake rebuild anyway.
I looked at doing my trailer £135 for the hubs drums backing plates shoes and cables and around £180 for a hitch.
manufacturers were then happy to re-plate it to 1100KGS as the axle is a 1100kg axle anyway.
really straight forward job too apart from welding the back plate to the stub axle, but if you fit the drum and hub and backplate on loose you can use the drum edge as a datum to weld the backplate on square.

You'll be close-all depending on the weight of the trailer. Take a read of this thread-last page has a weight on it, 1st has the engine weight.

Going off Iboats info the engine is 163KG, the bear boat approx 350KG. So that's 513KG. Even with the console, battery and double jockey I'm sure I should scrape 600-650 KG?

You'll be very lucky to get a trailer under 150kg.

Bugger thought it was the weight the trailer could carry, didn't know it included the weight of the trailer. Funds are tight though

I've got a twin axle trailer for little money if you don't mind doing some work. The brakes work but the bearings need replacing, it also has a couple of supports missing at the back. It had new wheels and hubs 3 years ago but it's been standing outside since. £200 takes it away.

Thanks Roofer but I couldn't manage a shifting a twin wheel around by hand in the little room I have to keep the RIB. Sounds a good project for someone though.
