Yamaha 20hp short shaft 1998.
I purchased this to put on my small boat as a replacement for a late 1970's yamaha 28hp, however I don't use my small boat, and there is nothing wrong with my 28 which I have owned for many years.
The 20hp is the '20C' single carb 'origin' model which is still produced for commercial and third world use - infinitely better than the twin carb, autolube 20D/25N- Rugged, nothing to go wrong, idles smoother and much lighter - It is quite rare to find this model at this relatively new age as they were special order through dealer.
It runs like new, I have known the engine since new being purchased by one of my friends and then hardly ever used, hence why I purchased it. If it has done over 50 hours in its life I'd be surprised. Good condition, some rubs to the cowling in places from a cover but looks very respectable, the graphics are still current to Yamaha two strokes.
It has tiller handle and I also have the remote control attachments and remote control box.
I'd like £795 for it, looking on eBay the same engine but 1984 sold for £700 recently.
Below is image off net of long shaft version with same graphics.
