Yamaha 30hp 2 stroke breaking

I've got a 30 hp Yamaha 2stroke that I'm breaking for spares everything's there except the mid section will sell as a job lot or ask for what parts you need good gearbox.

If you are thinking what I think you are thinking is the next obvious thing a 20% increase in your gee gees?

the transom would take a 30 !!! but I can't justify the cost. The 20HP was never offered with PTT but a wee bird tells me that you can retrofit the 30HP PTT onto the 20. That would give me a tad extra control (and so better speed by not compromising on the trim setting) but also mean that wee Mrs Poly*, or the little Polies could raise and lower the engine without me.

The HP can be upgraded to 25 as well - but it needs new carbs, and exhaust which I'm not sure is worth it.

Yeah, I almost fitted a PT from a 90 to my old 55 before I found the 55 had corroded to the equivalent of shortbread..... Yam are quite good at spreading the leg bits around between HPs....


On those lines I was thinking if this powerhead bolted onto your leg...... But not knowing what either are it is no more than a thought.

Sorry but the mid section with the power trim is already sold.
