After running an auction for my Yam 40 on Fleabay for a week
and having my time totally wasted by the winner,
I am offering the motor for sale on here.
YAMAHA 40 hp 2 stroke VMOL 6H4 Outboard motor.
It was supplied new in 2001 from a Yamaha dealer,
I have the original PDI report dated 11/11/2001, and the original manual.
From the serial number, the engine is a 'U" manufactured in 1999.
I have owned the engine since 2007 and done no more than 30 hours since then.

It comes with the steering tube and cables
plus a Yamaha 701 control box, for which I have the manual.
This is a good clean example, hard to find.
No corrosion under the cowling, in great condition - pictures speak for themselves.
There are a few superficial scratches on the lower leg as you would expect,
plus two scuff marks on the cowling itself, they are shown in one of the pics.
I have just fitted a new impellor, and there is a good steady tell tale water jet.

Currently the motor is sitting on my Searider - its unbolted and ready to go
BUT - it weighs 78 kilos. I can't lift it - so the buyer has to
arrive ready to lift and transport it.
