6m Humber Destroyer - The Big Small Boat
Myself and Ian have been developing a new layout for Humber 6m Destroyers, we have sourced a new console and seating that fit the Destroyer and allows a family layout for 6 People on 2 single jockey seats and 2 double jockey seats, bench seats are also available.
The new style destroyer allows nearly 150 litres of built in stainless fuel tank with all fillers, filters, breathers, batteries and other technical equipment above the waterline of the boat if completely swamped.
Engines options are from 90hp producing 30knots to 150hp producing over 50 knots, with the most sensible option being a 115hp producing nearly 40 knots and 150nm range. Our favoured option being the 115 Mercury Mariner Optimax which now comes with a 5 year manufacturer's warranty when purchased with the new Destroyer from PBS. Engines are accompanied by the proven Baystar Hydraulic Steering and a choice of top mount or side mount controls.
Electronic packages can be chosen by the customer, we generally recommend navman, a suggested package is a Navman Trackfish, Chartlpotter & Fishfinder, along with A 7200 DSC Radio
The New Style Destroyer will be supplied on a 1300kg Braked Swing Beam Roller Trailer and can be towed behind most family cars.
The pictures attached are of the Prototype, we now have a highly polished more stylish A Frames with choice of single loop or double with LED Navigation Lights and a stainless rail surrounding the screen.
Please feel free to call myself (07920517289) or Ian (07947807349) with any enquiries.

Cracking Jono,
Now, ram that console up into the bow and lose the second row of jockeys and lets have it in international orange and at that price you'll have pretty good dive boat!

We've just done a 6m Destroyer Dive Rib with a 150hp Optimax, 1 up it pulled 54 knots. Also a nice 6.5 Destroyer dive & film boat
More pics to follow.

We could do a basic dive spec dive spec from £20,000 6m / 150hp Opti
This boat was a very highly spec; top spec - chart plotter, depth finder, dsc, cover, and lots of other extras; the invoice came to about £25'000

f'rd cylinder rack neat, wondered why it had a single width console. Still like the expedition width ones plenty of space for big plotters and room inside.
I keep designing the ultimate virtual dive rib. We seem to be low on storage space at the moment. Our boat is due for replacememnt in 3-5years but we need to find the cash so arent serious at present in terms of an order. Let me know if you need or want to sound out any design ideas.
I had flirted with the notion of a collapsible cylinder rack that could lie in a channel in the deck along the keel line. Also a mesh basket over the cylinder rack to hold; gloves, fins, masks etc. Next engineering problem is the ultimate foldable quality dive ladder for ribs.

Compared to your Camel it must seem like a rocket ship!
Opti's give a lot of bang per kilo (i love em!) I think you'll find most boats of that size with max power enigine have stuniing performance. Have you thought about sticking a 200 opti or etec on your Camel
It's a blast isn't it
