a week of ribbing in Pembrokeshire

I came up with the idea already in January this year when I bought a nice guide book about Pembrokeshire at the LBS. I also got the necessary chart of the area. Once a date was set Southampton Dry Stack made me a very good offer for shipping my demo rib up to Neyland Marina and back. All I then needed was accommodation for the week . Here Neyland marina surprised me most as they offered me the very new Haven Pod see photo. With the rib berthed in the marina I even got a discount. Breakfast in the marina café and evening meal in their restaurant - everything on site. With all this booked I needed the weather and this I could not order. we also took our walking boots so we also had a few days seeing the sites and there was a lot to see.

The red Parker 1000 Baltic SeaSafari which used to operate in the Solent is now owned and operated by Blue Ocean Adventures in St. Davids. This was a very good opportunity to meet the new owners and let them show us the best the trip to Ramsey Island can offer. Mike & his son Sam were just great and as you will see from my Go Pro clips the trips which they organize are just amazing

more to follow with the Parker 750 Baltic in some of the biggest seas I have even experienced. This was off the island of Skomer yesterday and Mrs Andre by my side. She was great . Not to mention Jack Sound which I crossed about 4 times and the Wild Geese which was amazing.

Nice footage Andre, it was great to get out with you and to give your boat a test run, I can confirm that it is a nice well thought out vessel and without me at the helm undoubtedly a nice handling boat

another clip shot yesterday and the wife survived although it was her idea to go round

As you can see we did not wear any all weather gear just a Musto wind breaker and splash proof trousers and we still did not get wet.
