A Wolf is born...
Got the first photos this morning
Still one or two fairly significant bits to be fitted yet, but it's definitely starting to look like a boat
Off to get the bling fitted on Thursday, and the kelp-stirrer is meant to turn up about the end of the week.
Can't wait!

Not finished yet though, needs the black wingback seats and a bit of bling to hang the traffic lights off, for the final look
What do the assembled audience reckon for where to put names - one on the front of the console and one on the transom? That's the only bit I've not really got settled in my mind.
The A-frame is a compilation of the best ideas I have seen on RIBnet, and the electronics are sorted - Garmin 556s plotter/sounder with a through-hull transducer, Icom IC-M411 DSC VHF (I wanted a 421 but they are no longer available in black) and the E-tec I-command gauges, plus a blank space on the console for future use. Also looking at one of those active AIS aerials at a later date to provide AIS input to the plotter, but I am not getting that just yet in case something else comes up.

Here are some more. Seating for three on individual seats with wingbacks, which suits what I do, keeps people dry and safe in the middle of the boat and removes the probability of me trying to get past a double console and ending up falling in the oggin in my tellytubby suit a dozen miles from the nearest boat with nobody else on board.
The only thing that is going to need some buggering about is the trailer which does not suit the boat that well in standard form, the planing pad apparently doesn't touch the stern keel rollers due to the hull shape, and rather annoyingly the keel rollers on the SBS bunk trailer are not adjustable but anyway I already have ideas about dealing with that and have some other mods planned to improve on a couple of other points. It'll probably be the first SBS trailer that has ever had 33x12.50R15 mud-terrains fitted
I should be getting some more pics when the engine and bling is fitted, so will post up when I get them

Some more 'work in progress' pics arrived from Roy this morning
1. Console layout with the plotter/sounder, VHF, Etec instruments and "A space for something in the future" - not sure what just yet but I expect I will think of something if the plotter went in the middle it wouldn't have been possible.
2. I decided to go for one of those new Digital Yacht AIS decoders mounted on the A frame and feeding into the chartplotter so will see how that works. Definitely a "Want" rather than a "Need" but what the hell
3. A frame, a topless Etec (phoowar) and the 3rd wingback

Looking good
I'm sure I've seen a plotter like that fitted to a console like that in a similar position to that somewhere:
Did Ribcraft supply the A-frame?
