Hi Charles,
it was certainly the most stunning place I've been too. The crossing from Ushuaia was 2.5 days of 65Knot winds and big seas. Saying that, you can see from the kayaking shots that some days were completely still and quite pleasant. The wildlife was amazing, orcas, humpbacks, leopard seals and millions of penguins !
www.peregrine.net.au/antarctica/ run trips down there from around £2.5k upwards for 10 days.
