Avonmouth to Southend on Sea Paddleboard Event
Earlier this year we provided safety cover to avid paddleboarder Adrian Angel as he paddled across the country to raise money to Diabetes UK.
We covered Adrian on his journey down the busy part of the tidal River Thames from Putney to Southend Pier. The journey took two days and was amazing to see the river at a slightly slower pace.
Interesting the note how the harbour authorities were expecting AIS as we headed down river and mingled with the more commercial operations down at London Gateway Container Port. Saying "we are 1m away from channel marker XYZ" just wasn't good enough! Perhaps one for the shopping list!
