Awesome Loch Awe

The first early morning frosts are now arriving in my area and the nights are long so my multi day adventures are over for the year. However Im now getting the small F rib back into action in readiness for the winter boating season.

Im lucky in that I have Loch Etive ..a beautiful sea loch ..on my back door and it gives access to the West of Scotland sea area. I also have a very scenic and large fresh water loch outside my front door. Its perfect for flushing salt out the outboard after a few days at sea. This video shows the beauty of Loch Awe well.

Im now running my 6HP Yamaha on E10 fuel from its external tank and it works a treat and never misses a beat. I keep a little “Premium” E5 fuel in its internal tank..so when I land..I run it for 5 minutes on the internal tank to clear out the E10 fuel.

Thanks for putting that video together and sharing. It's great! We were there end of September and it never looked like that...! Rubbish weather. We camped on Inishail. It was magnificent even if wet and windy. We tried to get to Innis Chonnel castle but I sabotaged it by forgetting to open my fuel vent and so created an air lock that was a sod to sort out. Had to limp back to base in the end. So nice to see it in your video. We now have unfinished business on that loch!

Supurb video Donny in a stunning location. It's been a long time since I've heard "Forever Autumn", I'll be digging out the vinyl tomorrow.

Another cracking well made video!

Coincidentally we had plans to be there this week to run in the new outboard while doing a bit of camping for a night or two with my son.
Unfortunately it looks like our plans will fall through once again, and the weathers not looking that great with strong winds and rain forecast.

But looks like you got the best of it this week
