Welcome to Ribnet.

I think you just fell into a trap.

I did notice Suzanne signed up as a trade member even before her first post.
Good for her.

And of course my comment to Jim would have been more accurate had we had access to a 'Tounge in Cheek' Smilie. I'm sure he knew I was only playing, and if not - Jim, I was only playing

No criticism intended Nasher, just a play on the "meaning" of "mean". I could use one of those TIC smilies too!

Don't be fooled by pretty pictures I went out on two at Ribex and was not that impressed very hard ride and not the level of comfort in a rough sea that I had been led to expect from the magazine reviews. Also the UK dealer that was on the stand at Ribex was a bit of a know it all twit.

For a contrasting view, I've owned three Ballistics, and yes they are harder riding than some, but the flip side of this is outstanding handling and a dry ride. We used them for charter ops and not once did anyone have anything negative to say about comfort, even in some fairly nasty conditions. That said, if armchair comfort in rough sea is your priority, buy a Nordhavn.

As for Jason, being a bit of a know it all twit, I would guess that as a successful salesman, he was simply practicing the art of mirror and matching at RIBEX

I have never professed to know it all in fact when I met him at Ribex 07 I had ony just started into Ribbing and as such was a newbie, I just found his attitude arrogant and dissmisive which as somone who was looking to part with a chunk of cash was not very comforting, luckily for me I wandered down the pontoon and had a chat with Roy at Osprey. So I guess I have Jason to thank as if he had done his job right I would not have ended up with the right rib for me
