Been out on the 'other' boat....

I know it's not the RIB, but thought you wouldn't mind if I shared a couple of pics of the 'other' boat. All of the pics were taken on my iPhone, so not perfect quality, but it was in the 'Lifeproof' case, so I was pleasantly surprised that they're clear.

Been out munging in the Irish Sea, then did a round-Anglesey and back to port, so apologies to those that tried making contact whilst I was away (I think I've caught up with the messages now, but I'm sure someone will shout if I haven't...)

Anyway, here you go:

Me and the old man:

These are called sails... just teasing!..

Slightly burnt cheeks:

I've slept in worse places:

You'd think it was the Med!

The water was incredibly clear:

Bit of enhancement on this one, quite like the effect

Thought I'd do a bit of prep for the Swellies, as, at low water, it takes more effort in the 10 tonne yacht than the 6.5m RIB lol

Geez Trailer Guy....looking at some of those pics i'd say you might want to try a different antifoul!

:-)

Looks lovely in the sunset shot, where was that?

It was lovely, cheers kerny. You're not wrong Maximus (unfortunately!)

Simon - It was just off Ynys Llanddwyn / Llanddwyn Island. Really very beautiful. Had a quick kip at anchor and then set off round the top of the Anglesey and got to Holyhead around 0130....

You're at the mercy of time and tide in a 'proper' boat, as Pete7 will appreciate

This is us coming in to the straits, pushing a head on F8 (constant 36+ knots off the starboard bow), gusting F10 (we had 55+ knots register quite a few times).

It took 108 (yup, that says one hundred and eight) tacks to get from the mouth to Port Victoria at Caernarfon. Fortunately I'm built for it, being very short and quite stocky means I don't fall over much and I can haul on ropes all day long

The quality's a bit poor, as it's on my iPhone, but it means there's another vote for the Lifeproof case. The phone was bone dry (25 seconds in to the below you can see a good one come over) after days of the below weather - which is more than can be said for my ruddy Musto!
