All that sunshine just can't be good for you!
We're not as bad as Neal, but wet and windy at the moment. Hope it clears up before boxing day as I'd fancied a little jaunt to the pub in Herm!

They do they do!!! Big un's an all.
There's a Island not far (relative terms only) called Isle Mujuras or somefink that has bigger fish than south africa!
Definately not the place to go wiggling your bloody stump in the water!!
Sorry Limey for hijacking your question!

Jaws
Not too many great whites!
Usually they hang around further north but we do get the occasional sighting which makes the news.
La Jolla beach is famous for it's Leopard sharks though and they "shoal' here every autumn.Fun to go out and see hundreds swimming in the shallows.
http://gocalifornia.about.com/cs/sdlivecams/
Thought I would post some of our local web cams. that way when you are freezing your socks off and locked up in the house, you can check out the beaches to see if Jaws is chewing up my boat.!!
(Stay away from the blacks Beach webcam though as its a nudist beach and dont want to offend anyone of a delicate disposition over there. )
cheers dal

Not wishing to contradict a local! But I've found the place.....Isla Guadalupe.......don't know where Isla Mujuras came from!??! (Answers on a post card)
http://www.sharkdiver.com/
I believe they sail from San Diego up and down the coast with great whites from 14-19ft in length.
So watch out for your toes Limey, they ain't as safe as you think!
