Boating fun in the Lakes ...

Just back from a fantastic week in the Lake District.

While we were there, we organised a smashing trip out of Whitehaven with John Winskill and Windrider:

http://www.windrider-rib.com/

Based at the Old Pier Master's House, John and his colleague Richard operate the 11m Humber with twin 250 Evinrudes (yes, 500 HP - this is not a typo!!)

If anyone is up near Whitehaven anytime, we can heartily recommend that you organise a trip

First piccie - this is what they use to tow!
Second piccie - John (right) & Richard (left)

Those Quinquari boats are serious bits of kit - someone in swansea using one now as well - perfect setup for commercial use.

Notice he uses one of those Land rover things - how can he run a business with one of those - over to you Gavin...................

And talking of these STUPID new speed limits!!! Apparently yachties are moaning now because some of the slips they used to use at Windemere now close at 5pm - even in summer - becuase the wardens are too busy policing the new speed limits!!!

Remember these are the speed limits the public in the area were TOTALLY against - local business eveyone!!! Nice to see yet again Labour listen to the minority instead of the majority!!!
