Great photos Andre but in the first set of pictures I'm a bit worried about picture 5: DR0WN!

Peder was giving each waypoint a special name and just can't think why he came up with DROWN

The Island of Helgoland

This is a most unusual island. Living off the turists mainly from Germany and Denmark who flock here for the Duty Free goods. Diesel is just over a Euro per litre

Photo 1, working lunch
Photo 2, taking full advantage of the duty free fuel
Photo 3, our second lunch
Photo 4 as above

we decided to leave the next day at 5 AM and forgot to tell the hotel manager and pay the bill that evening. By the time we go back he had long gone. He was not quite happy with a 5AM wake up call asking if he could come cos we wanted to pay the bill.

Photo 5, refuelling at Den Helder, Holland

Next stop Felixstowe we were on the go for about 14 hours that day
The rib and the Cummins QSD 4.2 (350HP) performed very well. The vessel viewer is a fantastic piece of kit and the fuel log is spot on. It is very accurate so you know exactly how much fuel you are using at any specific time. It makes you even reduce the speed by a few knots to increase the range

Southampton Waters

Photo 1, Vensura in the background
Photo 2,3 & 4 Southampton Dry Stack, home for Seahawk V

A few years ago I was keen to do the same trip in a Parker 630 diesel rib. Having now done it in a 9 mtr I am pleased I towed the 630 (Seahawk III) to the UK

Great pics and a great trip. Yes Heliogoland is an unusual island - it was a British Colony back in the 1800s and the population wanted it to remain so!!!

My first post here. She's a beauty - saw your new RIB in pride of place at the dockside at SDS at the weekend when I dropped off my new boat (a little more modest 5.8m Avon). That looks to have been a challenging trip from Poland given how cold it was - shame you didnt get this weeks weather.

By the way - very impressed with Southampton Dry Stack so far - its great to see so much enthusiasm and passion from the guys who run the yard.

It was very challenging but not cold like winter frost ect . We were lucky however to have had good weather at sea , specially when crossing the North Sea, no rain or storms , no big waves .

the worst was Selsy Bill and the Solent last Thursday

as for SDS then I could not agree more with you. I had shopped around and I am very pleased of my choice
