Stunning day for a bit of ribbing, did the 45nm trip up to Alderney from Jersey, had a beer and a spot of lunch outside the Divers. Then Malthouse and myself set off on the 15nm round trip to the Casquets Lighthouse marking the southern entrance to the Western Approaches.
Had a scout around to see what might be involved in landing there but the sharp bits of granite steaming through the water at 5-6 knots kinda made me think twice.
Must have been there 15-20 mins before we noticed there was 2 or 3 guys out there giving it a coat of paint, nice view from their office window
