Codprawn's new RIB - first sighting!!!

I have just received a PM from a very excited gArfish...

gArfie ha just returned from delivering chipboard transoms to a secret offshore location. He strapped them on the back of his jetski, quite happy that thay would get wet and swell up, because he would get a better price for thicker boards! He claimed this cunning plan was suggested by someone who will remain nameless, whom he referred to as wj

On the subject of Codprawn's RIB:

How on earth do you jump to that conclusion!?!

I'm simply hoping that this, or another thread, will feature some photographs of a happy codprawn and his new RIB within a few weeks.

I think Richard and the rest of us will be delighted when you finally post pictures of your new RIB and realy do hope that it turns out to be all you could desire. Mind you, I'm being very altruistic here 'cos when you do post pictures of your new RIB I stand to lose a bet..........

Sorry Richard - it was the reference to chipboard transoms that did it - finishing work at 4am didn't help either!!!!

Wonder what stage my hull was at - SUPPOSED to be ready by end July!!!

No problems, cod.

Any chance with a hand to get this knife out of my chest from post number 5 though?

p.s I'm sure that the chipboard was delivered to the Zodiac factory
(That's me off MeMe's Christmas card list!)

Tell me about it - I DO intend to use it in the winter but it would be nice to be able to use it NOW - really makes me sick at the moment!!!

My mate's wife is expecting a baby - 9 months of waiting and as the time gets closer - now how they feel..........

What d'you mean you know how they feel?! This RIB of yours has had the longest gestation period in history. Just hope your girlfriend doesn't fall pregnant - bloody kid'll be four years old before it pops

What I fail to understand in all this is why, if the requisite funds were not available to buy the RIB earlier, have you seen fit to go out and buy not only a Range Rover, but also an RX8 Particularly when you informed us some time ago that you are in the habit of leasing cars and chopping them in on a 3-4 month cycle!!!

Actually it has been bang on a year!!!

The funds WERE there to buy the RIB - paid for it ages ago. It was all the other bits and bobs I ran out of dosh for due to our company takeover/merger.

Don't you realise the difference between private funds and business expenses???

Haven't had the RX8 yet - think I will have to send the Rangie back(sob) before I take delivery.

Yes I do change cars on a pretty regular basis - unlike my pride and joy 110 - and the Alfa and the old Rangie Classic...........

Snot fair though - lot of catching up to do - mate of mine has just taken delivery of a DB9 and my other mate's F430 is due soon!!!! Bet I will have more fun on the RIB though!!!

So you paid for a RIB in advance before collecting it and this was ages ago?

What a trusting soul you are!

Tell me about it - also I am having the boat at a very good price for what it is - prob half of what it should have cost!!!! That is why I have been so patient with them.

And in fairness not all the problems have been caused by them - many factors to take into account.

Surely though, 12 months is a hell of a long time, the rib would be complete by now, even if you havent had the funds for the "extras" you could take some pictures of the boat itself? or get the manufacturers to, im sure they'd be happy to, especially as its taken so long :|
