Nice run out Xk59D great vid too - which cam/gimbal do you use? My order for the Karma grip for my GoPro 5 black arrives on Monday, hoping to get similar stability to that in your vid.

i use an AFI 3 axis gimbal (first time i've used it, only just got it) and a git2 camera, i also have a gopro (3 black) but the git2 is much better so i don't use it anymore.

you won't go wrong with the gopro stuff you have got coming but it is damn expensive due to the name on the side of it....as you are probably well aware . the bitrate of the hero5 is good so your videos will be a little sharper for sure. there may also be mileage in recording in 4k and edit down to 1080 to get it even sharper. i have not played with that yet as youtube crushes quality anyway and the rendering time for 4k is substantially more.

post up some video when you have it, i'm sure you will love the results.

So Xk59D , can I ask what caused the fusebox to fry ? Always make me nervous when I see the normally reliable Yammy fail . What vintage is it ? Do many folk carry spare relays ?

My alternator burnt out earlier this year but it was original to engine ( now 17 year old ) . Looks like saltwater finally got in there......

Nice video by the way.

Cheers Xk59D. Looking forward to playing with it. Making a tube mount for near the bow of my F-Rib to keep both hands free for steering and holding on!

i think salt got to it, a new fusebox is being fitted today i believe, i think it is circa 2008 engine.

the only spare i have out is spark plugs, i figure if it is anything else you are not fixing it bobbing about anyway.

every engine is reliable right up to the point it isn't

Xk59D, Great vids!
We looked at going out on Sunday but weather was poor to say the least, So boat was washed down cleaned inside & filled with go-go juice.
Weather is looking good so far for the coming bank holiday if you are up for a trip out.
All the best Callum.
