Andre, thanks very much!! Great photos and it looks like the show was well attended by most major RIB companies. I definitely won't be going to London next year.

Did Barnet Marine have any XS-Ribs on their stand or was it just Tornado??

What was the Guinness bar like? Or was it Murphys??

Hope ye did well anyway!!

Barnet Marine were only showing the Tornado and there were no XS-Ribs on show

there was an X-Rib however and for some reason forgot to post a picture yesterday so here it is.

The Guinness Bar was not like at the LBS but the GUINNESS in Dublin is just great My wife Wiesia who would never touch Guinness quite enjoyed it and I think she has been converted, mind you the black currant juice helped.

What you miss however, is that the ribs/boats are not on the water so you can not take them out and just see what they can do.

Come on RIBEX 2005

I was up at the IMF boat show on friday, Where I saw my Excalibur 7.0 M on show on the Gaelforce Ventures stand C1 , And all I want to say is well done to Joe & James , Because in my opinion there were no other Ribs there that would match them in both quality and value for money.
Well done lads

Called in at the Dublin Boat show on Sunday, plenty of ribs on show, Viking Marine had a very impressive display of well put together ribs, highlights: Volvo D6, Redbay Stand, Gaelforce rib ( they must have spendt a day polishing it ).

Low points, Price of a pint of Guinness, the Parker rib (38,000 euro) & having to remove your shoes so many times to board the Gin & Tonic boats.
Also Raymarine have just brought out a new Chartplotter, just paid a fortune for the old system C120- a well you learn.

Been to the show the last 3 years and its getting better.

Thank God it wasn't just me who thought that was a ridiculous price for a 6.3m RIB and thats excluding VAT. To be fair to Stuart from Lough Ree he has offered to make contact with a friend of mine in the market for a new 6.5 but the price would have to come down a lot for him to consider it. You'd nearly get a 6.5 cabin Redbay for that money?

Paul, yes it was on in the RDS Simmonscourt but I understand that they had to put up a tent also as there was so many visitors!!

As regards the lack of people:

Sorry I took a huge number of pic's to post up but camera decided this was a bad idea!!

So I have lost them all.

I really enjoyed the show, is very laid back.
There were a few people wondering about honest!
Saturday was very busy, wel for me anyway.

Was good to bump into all of you that I did.
Was also great to see the large number of RIB's on show.

Gael Force
Redbay
Ribtec
Parker
Zodiac
Lencraft
Tornado
Zeplin, yes Zeplin I thought they made airships!

And loads more beside.

Did anyone who went see the remote controlled jetski?
How strange!

One thing that really made me laugh was some of the guy's working the show moaning about the hours and the length of the show!!

Wedneday, Thurday and Friday 12pm start!!

They should try 10 day;'s at London or Southampton!!

Regards
