That's mad sh1t!
Myself, Ricochet and a mate of mine keep threatening to do the same in the Foyle System - Moville to Lifford, but we've not got round to it.
Fair play to you both - kudos!

A long time in the planning but well worth the effort...
We only had one float needle stick so apart from that everything was groovy

We were both quite surprised we managed to do the whole thing without any punctures. It's quite inconsistent-going from several feet deep to inches in a matter of yards.

The Thames is a beautiful place but with many dangers but well worth a visit for two or more sibs

Oh tell me about it. I was attempting Letterkenny quay a couple of years back and lads who were teeing off on the local golf course were shouting "Fore!" at me as I passed through
FYI, I found my boathook was the most useful item on board that day - for fending off and punting...

That looked fun
Regards the permit situ anything specific to bear in mind? Or be aware of in general? as there is a nice river right near me but die to wiers isn't really navigable for large parts but a small sib could be pulled up them easily enough...
Reminds me of:

No permit needed for where we were-it's not maintained for navigation, so they can't charge for using it
If you see kayaks on it, you can sib it as far as I know.
Some more, take by Sixy after the engine swap:-

On the 1st fallen tree (within 150 yards of the start) I was thinking 'oh s**t' as we couldn't really row back against the current and we had to drag the boats round it. By the second, I wasn't sure how far we'd gone or if continuing was even feasable.
Having looked on Youtube at other people that did it, I suspect we were just unlucky with the winter fallen trees not being cleared yet though.
I also discovered that...erm... playing bumper boats with sibs is quite fun

That's just waaaaaay too much hard work but fair play to you both and some cracking' pics. There must be a few monster chub lurking near those trees so take a couple of rods with you next time and drift a feeder under those roots and branches!

There is-I used to fish several of the stretches we went through when I was a kid and used to pull a lot of big Chub out.
It actually wasn't that hard work-we only had to get out of the boats twice.
