That part of the world is so cool. Imagine what would happen if you drove your boat flat out up a beach on the south coast and knocked some bloke flat....
I wonder what that bloke said to the driver.

Wish I could park a boat like that, 60 mph flat out onto a beach, 50 yards of surfing up the sand, stopping inches from the fat bloke and givin his Missus the "wink", brilliant "and for everything else there is mastercard".

Looks like your laminators have learnt a lot since they built Manos's boat (page 11 in case you missed it!)

thanks cookee, appreciate your input - you may find it interesting to know that the current raceboat features a skin of only 4 layers - not that this is the case with production boats, but it lasted the Trans Agulhas challenge - special woven glass fabrics were used, no carbon or kevlar.

We don't use anything exotic such as carbon fibre or Kevlar either - just regular cloth, but not so much CSM - more woven and combi sort of stuff!

Look at me I am the Party Pooper
Well Manos if you are happy to have a hull that is made the way yours is then who am I to winge.
Mr Falcon
I think you have avoided answering the questions posed over the lamination picture posed by myself and others, and I guess that's because it is difficult to justify. Manos also published a list of all the wiring faults he had with his boats over on Boatmad and that also indicated a poor job, He did however say that he had spoken with yourselves about it and that you told him that you did much better jobs nowadays as you use higher spec materials ( which I can accept)
So moving on, and this is a question for ALL the boat Manufacturers/Importers using this Forum and I can think of at least 7
It is plainly obvious that what you can't see in a finished boat is something you can't inspect, So how difficult would it be and what would your attitudes be towards providing a CD of digipics detailing the actual construction of each boat i.e. inside of the Hull, wiring looms, waterproofing seat fixings etc etc.
I suggest this as I have bought 6 Ribs in 4 years and still have four of them. The build quality of all the ribs has been good to excellent but the wiring on four of them has been poor and secondrate on one. It would give me a very good feeling to be able to see a CD such as this before taking delivery.
Regards
Stuart

Cookee, how do you manage to prevent delamination under stress, especially impact, when you have non-hairy cloth on cloth? Apologies if that sounds a bit cheeky but it's not intended to be. Just a serious enquiry.
