For Whom The Bell Tolls

So far this year ...small boating weather has been rather poor but I have still managed out for one or two trips per month since 2nd January.

The last day of March was undoubtedly my best day of the year so far. Myself and Kaman went to explore Loch Shiel where we found an ancient bell on a small island. Its rumoured to be 1000 years old.

We went by small inflatables .. an air floor Honwave and a small F Rib. Some may look down their nose at such boats but for us ..they are perfect. After all .. its only a vessel to explore the coast and seaways in. I could go by log canoe and still have a brilliant day on the water

Im off boating for a multi day adventure again early morning and wont be around for a wee while.. so hope you enjoy the video and it inspires you to get your own boats going .. you are missing some great adventures on the water if you dont.

Thanks for watching
Best regards from The Gurnard

Full of admiration for you and really appreciate that you take the trouble to create the videos to share the amazing experience. Inspiring as you say.

Great vid again Donny

Those pics of the "upside down world" are just surreal - can't wait to get up there myself

Cheers MM

Thanks everyone for the kind comments on the video..it was a fantastic day. It was a bitter cold north breeze to begin with though as its still not summer

I survived another three days going round Arran and Bute in the bigger inflatable .. staying in a wee tent at night. The wind was straight from the NE so very cold nights but still great fun. I will upload that video once I catch up with the rest of the Ardnamurchan Adventure videos

Wishing you all a great start to your boating seasons too

Best regards
The Gurnard
