Yesterday we took an exploratory tour to the Glass Window Bridge and Spanish Wells, Eleuthera.
This was a full day trip - about an hour and a half in decent weather over to mainland Eleuthera, and then 45 minutes over to Spanish Wells (near the even more famous Harbour Island) and then about a 2 hour trip back, due to the increase in wind and chop. We had to pull back to about 24 knots (from around 32 knots cruise).
Managed to do it on a single tank of fuel with about 30 gallons left - not that I was worried on the way back in
The glass window bridge is so aptly named because you can see the deep (typically rough) weather of the Atlantic contrasting with the beautiful Bahamian waters. I'll attach a picture of the better description
It was a beautiful day, and we had lunch at The Shipyard in Spanish Wells - so delicious, recommend the conch bites as an appetizer (we ordered them twice)
