[QUOTE=Portnahaven;430040]Sunday before last took a run to Rothesay. Beautiful morning, flat calm, but when i got to Ardmaleish point in Bute met with thick fog all way round to Rothesay, so no more vid.
Stayed over in Espanade hotel - returned home along east side of Arran. Right lumpy from Sanda on. nice video love to see that part of the world ...but... i think that music will drive me mad its still playing in my head arrggg

First time i was ever in that part of Scotland, and must admit it is stunningly beautiful.
Did not get to see Rothesay till 9.00 that night when the fog lifted. Visibility was down to about 30 yards from the harbour - could not see green entry lights. Could hear the waves on shore and people talking on shore, but no entrance, and then thank goodness three green lights appeared way above me. Had radar on, but still was frantically looking for and aft for a big Calmac ferry. Could not take any more video from Ardmelish Pt. as i was single handed, and there were a few other boaters about. Only one other boat in inner harbour, and as soon as i arrived they jumped out grabed bow and stern ropes - tied up and tied on springs! Then invited onboard their Bayliner for a right few beers. George and Franzie i owe you a few. Oh the sound track - how could i not use `Herbert killed my Poodle' by Herbert

Beautiful day was looking to all the places known to me up the firth and was not dissapointed brill, Then the bit I was most looking forward to a glimse of my home town and zero because of damn fog!! I am glad my town gave you safe haven and a chance to share some beers with new friends so the trip was not in vain. Better luck next time can undestand you concentrating on the Rib as the Narrows is a trick place as is crossing the ferry lanes. keep the vids coming and it was nice to see your nice boat again.
