Hide and seek!
Ok here is my attempt at adding some life to the Gallery forum.
The story is,
My boat Spud has been in the farmyard shed in question, since November. But only the other day whilst my little brother was bored while waiting for me did he go rumaging around the 3 other boats present. Only to discover that the boat next to me under cover was infact a RIB. I had never suspect this due to the boats unusual hull nature, but knew exactly what it was when he said it.
So lets see how long it takes you to guess the boat! I shall post updates, probbaly daily.
I would also like to say what a shame it is to see this lovely boat be wasted by the fact that it is just sitting there. In all my time in the shed it has never moved neither has anyone been to the boat!
Onwards with the pictures!
Pic1, yes I know this gives lots away, but someone probably knows it!

A Hysucat is a South African made Catamaran Rib with a hydrofoil. Quite nice boats with PVC tubes which have great thick life lines running along the top of them just like in the picture. I believe this could be the boat that Scott Braye of Rib Repair and I re-tubed last year

This Hysucat belongs to a chap called Rob. He in fact has two Hysucat's - the one being at his holiday house in Plettenberg Bay - Cape, SA. This rib was shipped to Jersey last year and 'rigged' by Gallichan Marine. Notice I put rigged in inverted commas. They made a complete mess of things as they could not be bothered to follow Malan's (the designer) instructions. The boat just did not perform well at all. After much mucking about they got it right and she goes extremely well now.
The trailer is a dead- giveaway as one can clearly see the running boards along the side poking out of the cover at the back. BTW, she is definitely NOT underpowered and will do a comfortable 38 knts due to the efficient hull and foil system. You will see father and son spending countless hours in St. Aubins bay wake-boarding and skiing in the summer, Lee.

Nick, they are now using Hypalon from Penel Industries on all their Hysucats.

Charles, you really are an incredible man, you seem to know everyone and everything over here in Jersey to do with RIB's. I thought I knew all the right people, but you sir really do know everyone!
I look forward to seeing Rob out then! 38 knots from 2 x 50 4 strokes, wow!
