How to change a gearbox in vietnam.
Recently got back from Vietnam. Was amused watching these guys trying to get the gearbox back on they're outboard. Theres 2 or 3 divers under the water, pushing up, and the guy with the rope was pulling. Half an hour later it still wasn't on.
Didn't spot any ribs while I was away, only saw a zodiac and a zapcat. And yamaha seems to be the only conventional make of outboard avaliable. But at least they can still buy 2 strokes.
Oh, and I have aquired a long 'long tail' outboard like the one in the other photo. I will try it on a SIB, if I can get it going.
