Introducing Solentblast

Just thought I would post a few pictures of my latest demo rib which is a Parker 900Baltic "SeaSafari" powered by twin Mercury Verado 250.

The rib has been geared up for MCA coding CAT 4 perhaps even CAT 3 but I have delayed the coding as I may have a possible sale early November to an overseas client.

Solentblast is fitted out with
* the latest Simrad Broadband radar / GPS chartplotter / sounder
* Icom 505 VHF radio
* 2 x RFD 8 man SOLAS liferafts
and all other safety equipment required for the MCA coding.

The rib will be used for demos only till sold.

I will be out Saturday heading for Yarmouth. The engines need running in so I will be taking it easy.

Oh my God and I am now ribless!!

Steve, as you know a SeaSafari rib like no other on the South Coast and I am sure you will get a lot of support from fellow ribnet members.

Chewy - I know where to call, though no plans to operate in North Sea yet, but I do have a plan for World domination ....

Ian - Thanks, the plan is coming together, hoping the action will start soon

Andre - It wont be long before you have the next boat that we will all be salivating over.
So pleased I will be running a Parker, feel like the cat who got the cream

Steve

All will be welcome to "launch" party in March/April

Cracking boat seen many times at Dry stack, you show that you plan cat 3, I have a Cat 3 level with 3 miles restriction for night work, do you know how you plan to get to full Cat 3 or are you expecting a similar level to ours.
Must admit I am happy with this level especially as most work is solent based. I have a colleague at Poole just going down the same route to Cat 3 who has been asked to ensure dry suits/or emmersion suits on board for night work.
Other options I have seen are a bow canopy to give sufficient cover. I have one made up but this is not part of my coding, I had it done as a safety net if caught out with sudden weather change or breakdown to offer cover

Wonderful news Steve - wishing you every success - we enjoyed our trip out on her with Andre last year, she's a cracking boat and as a passenger she inspired lots of confidence.

Looking forward to reading more about how your plans develop

Andre - can't wait to see what you get next
