Northside

We were in the marina in Howth took a pic of your rib, the fishfinder was on, nice rib very clean and liked the Mercury, we went out on Sunday in the fog practiced with the compass , our plotter is in plotter hospital,we are around most sat/sun in the mornings mostly, no site for the Hysucat yet you have the same problem with keeping a light coloured rib clean its not easy when they are grey.Great marina in Howth will you let us know when the crane is back in action cheers gav/tim

Clean

Gav,
I have 4 kids so I have learned that it's pointless to clean anything they use. We have a full cover but dont bother to use it. if the fishfinder was on I was up in the bar, my boys were playing with the rich kids in their "mini ribs" off the island.

Nice RIB

Gavin, what a real nice lookig bit of kit. I've not seen one of these before. She must be a real flyer, what sort of top end does she pull ? What type of trailer do you have ? I'm going to search the web for some more info, is there a site you could recommend ?

Well actualy they aren't. A Rigid Hull Inflatable (RIB) as it says has a rigid hull. These come in all sizes from 2.5m upwards.

A Soft Inflatable Boat does NOT have a rigid hull. It is completely inflatable (often including the floor), okay so the transom is made of wood. Anyway the whole boat will fold up into a bag. These also come in all sizes from about 2m to about 6m.

But they are different beasts.

Nice photos

superb shots of the RIB. I had spotted it on B&O but unfortunately she's a little rich for my pocket - maybe one day. Good luck with your sale. It's a bit flat at the moment so hold on in there.

So this is a M-RIB or mini RIB. Note the hard hull (although not much of a deep V!)
