Well decide to bite the bullet and sail to the Isle of Wight. It was a nice sunny day and I had a companion to help me.

Firts of all we launched from Langstone Harbour.

On the way we had to dodge a few big ships.

On the way back the sea was just like a millpond. So Much easier and quicker than when we went over.

My compatriot decided that he needed to cool down and went for a quick swim off Winner near Hayling Island on the way back.

(Please don't try this at home, this man is a professional)

Hey Man,

What would I give to be off this weekend.

I,m working Friday all day, Saturday I arranged ages ago to go to the War and peace show in Kent (I,m hoping to pick up some Military Survival gear for the RIB) and on sunday I,m back to work again. Its a cruel world.

I won't be back on the waves again till the following weekend and then I've got the weekend in a tent on Hayling Island with the family so I'm going to hammer the boat then.

Damn I need to move to the coast it would be so much easier.

Sat 26 July

Hi Nick,

Looks like you had a good trip over to Bembridge during the week - I do envy you shift worker sometimes - you get all the good weather

I shall be on holiday from 25 July to 8 August with the boat in Bembridge so if you fancy popping over let me know. Aging Youth & I have an informal meet arranged for lunchtime in Bembridge on Sat 26 July. He launches at Eastney Cruising Assoc. (opposite where you launched in Langstone) - why not pop over and join us. PM for my mobile number.
