I wonder if they would tow my little Quicksilver across for me with the 15hp on the transom???

Would make a great tender to a Fast Cat ferry.....

Codders,

If another boat is interested (preferably someone who has done the trip before)... you could drop the engine off with me and could bring it over on the boat... and accompany you back for your "maiden" voyage if you wish?

Anyone interested?

Condor also have a freight service, You should pay no more than £35-£40 to have the outboard shipped from Weymouth or Poole and it should be overnight and ready for collection at White Rock freight office. The harbour master will let you tie up on the Sark ferry berth to collect the motor, all very nice people in Guernsey.

Thanks for all the offers - have just discovered at this time of year condor do some special bargain breaks - stay 3 nights the car goes free - could take the discovery over full of stuff including my suzuki 15hp - then a mate can take the disco back while we bring the boat - will feel a lot happier with a an aux.

Then again Jason has brought loads of boats over with no probs so he must have some faith in his boats!!!

I personally would not have a problem in bringing a new boat back. Yeah things fail but it should be all sorted out in trials prior to departure .
IMHO so long as you have the correct equipment to deal with any problems and have the right safety gear then go for it , I will be in mid April when the new Redbay is ready .

If you decide to meet him in Weymouth at a given time, be aware that Guernsey is in a different time zone. I think they're 24 hours behind BST.

Yes, when I advised him that he'd be paying my hotel bills and waiting time, he brought the boat over on the hurry up.
