K'adó

Hi guys,

I'm delighted to let you all know that K'adó has arrived. Please see

www.Redbayboats.com

We took delivery on the Easter weekend and did a shake down cruise of approx 90 miles on the saturday.

This weekend we did approx 220 miles north into the scottish isles.

The boat is a delight. Comfort is amazing. Ths Suzuki 300 is fantastic with a hum from it like a supercharged Jaguar. Almost impossible to hear at idle.

Many thanks to all in Redbay for getting her this far.

Rgds

Throttle

Very nice looking boat. Congratulations

Quick question.. could you tell me whether your throttle is it an interlocking throttle (i.e. does it click into neutral and you have release to put into gear)?

The reason I ask is that I have a new boat on order with a Suzuki 175hp, and we have had great difficuilty locating a console mounted interlocking throttle. I note yours looks as if it is made by Suzuki, have they just bought one out?

Really I'd like one that sits on the left!

Thanks

Great boat - when it's run in would love to see some performance figures etc - what pitch prop are you running?

That is a very nice boat!
Are the Scotia comfort seats fitted with suspension? What are they like in the rough?

Questions answered

Alan

The seats are not suspended. We found them very comfortable doing approx 220 miles last weekend. I considered the suspension seats but decided they weren't necessary.

Codders
We not going to do extensive testing until we are fully run in. We have two props so far one of which is cavitating a bit. We are not too focused on top speed. more looking for economy, responsiveness. A knot or two at the top end does not matter a whole lot to me. That much said I will post when we get down to the serious testing.

DWalters
No the throttle is not interlocking and it is very possible to slip it from one gear through neutral into the other gear. However there are two neutral positions which give you a great chance not to crunch. All the controls are digital and I suspect I will get accustomed to them very quickly.

I had the pleasure of doing the trip to Scotland with Ezgoing, and the boat is fantastic!!!!! in every way ...... it might not be your traditional rib with the Cabin on it , but once you go 'Cabin' you never go back ........

Well done and only joking, ya canno brin it wit ya! 300 Horses Suzi,

I am looking forward to you towing me home at 45 kts cos my boat will not do that speed!!!

Heading over soon to Brighton to get my ballistic and then I will be in touch for the Summer, could base it in Westport for a while too.

However my friend, I will have to don wetties whilst you are sipping Pink Gins (GIn with dash of Tabasco as I recall) in that cocoon!
