Just got back from a Round trip to Greece and Cyprus - and to mention a boat that I tested with such a good story.
A friend of mine in Cyprus, Kostas, has designed , built the plug, built the moulds, built and rigged his own boat.
The whole project has taken him 4 years and included a year researching design and stepped hulls. He has done all this pretty much on his own and made a fantastic job.
Then once the boat was completed he raced in Cyprus and won in its first race!
The boat is 6m with a 200hp Mercury - and as would be expected is pretty quick. I saw 54 knots when driving - with a little chop - but they have seen 60 knots plus. Handling was really good for a 6 metre and the boat was very stable.
So good to see someone put in so much hard work, take some chances and get their rewards.
