Would certainly be shorter from Port Logan but we've got some reservations about launch, recovery and safe storage for the trailers there, and it's still not going to get round the local overfalls around that coast.

Okay yes you got my drift in that it's the channel that's the issue. Now that I know you have been out there before I am more at ease. Stranraer marina is your best all round just a bugger having to go full length ofLR. Yes your right about PL or any other village slip in that part includingPP. I have never been out there but as you can see Last Tango has a good few times.

Given both of us have spank new trailers we are worried about leaving them overnight not in a marina. Stranraer have already confirmed they can store the jeeps and trailers securely so that is half the battle sorted really. in fact my trailer is so new i don't have it yet!
