OK, thanks. Same her, it rolls freely once released from the winch. I get the winch strap released without any problems, but need to watch out for a fast moving winch handle if not catching it right

So now I secure the bow rope to the trailer and controls the released speed with that during a solo launch. Looking forward to start doing the power on recovery, but that will be in April only.

A great video, but he perhaps didn't need to whack in that speed?

Still, a great example of powering onto the trailer with the absolute minimum of winching. But...

a) Use a back up to the winch strap, dropping boats on slipways is bad.

b) Take care of the your shore hands, running them over with loaded trailers is really bad.
