I'm pleased you did.........
.....as this thread has me excited about getting back on the water in March.
Here's the last photo taken by Fred Bolton during our Christmas New Year cruise.
By the way, that's Jono Gortons fat arse you're looking at.

A couple more for the thread.
Best mod is engine bars - stops other boats pushing into engine when rafted up etc. They were already fitted when I bought it.
I like the idea of one big cruise!

Was the engine frame fitted for that purpose by the original owner or was there some alternate motive (towing/dragging something) ?

Definately for protection, I specifically asked the seller. The trailer board fits nicely on them as well!

Hey MeMe...
... at least he had his hands full holding on!!
Unfortunately it was quite calm when we were out (or, in sales speak, "look at the smooth ride of this Shakespeare 620"...).
Idle hands......we were lucky that the camera took the pic quickly....!!

ok here it is.
First and second photo, showing her laying on the back of here bigger mama.
Just bought here then about two years ago.
Third picture, showing our weekend on the biggest lake of holland (ijselmeer).
We normaly stay there every good weather-weekend on a small island for two or three days with a lot of friends.
Fourth picture, shows my oldest son catching the fish for dinner. Didn't catch a lot that day.
Fifth picture is showing my youngest sun handling the ancor. Just checking ofcourse.
Dan.

Excellent photos Danny. It looks like you and your friends and family have a great time on that island! Every kid's dream weekend, I would imagine (and that includes big kids like me!).
P.S. Do you own the 'big mama' boat too?

Do you live on board? I have been tempted many times to buy an old ship - they can be quite cheap to buy - what has put me off is the time needed to look after them.
Another problem would be that all I would ever want to do is up anchor and go all over the world!!!

Age does'nt matter that much. It's the shape she's in that makes the price.
We do spend many weeks a year on board. It gives us a sence of freedom when you live on the water.
As for the work you mentioned. When you take really good care after a ship , she will demand less time of you. It's should be that way or no way.
I have been around the world once. With a 30 mtr ship leaving holland, crossing the canal to the med's. Passed the Suez and Red Sea. Crossing the arabian sea all the way to Manilla.
I can tell you, there are many places wich have more sun and clearer water. But there aren't that many country's where everything is well organized.
I love western europe. Lots of water en friendly, reliable people.
I had a great time but wil never do that route again
Dan.

As prommised some pictures. but no more, this is a rib site, no heavy metal site.
Sorry if the pictures seem a bit close-up. I didn't have a fisheye lens available this afternoon.
Greetings,
