Mine has been out on RIBs since he was a nipper and he is 11 or so years old now.
If you are worried about the scratches then you won't want to take a mutt out on a RIB but honestly, I may look after my boats but I don't wrap them in cotton wool either and worry about every dirty mark.
Mine was on the Clyde run and the Millport run, both over 50miles each (he was off the boat for the display only as he is terrified of fireworks and came back with us at night)
He is a good laugh when stationary as he is fascinated by the reflections on the water and will stare for hours at them. You have to be careful sometimes, he has been known to climb onto the bow and try and bite the bow wave when planing along!
He is very good in the boat but rough weather is a problem as he has nothing to get a grip, he usually just jams himself in at your feet then to sstop being bounced around.
This pic is also from the Clyde trip and is him quite happily sitting up on the suicide seat in the front of the console, quite happily watching what was going on!
