hi buddy-the best thing to do is search and find out. the avon adventure is as welcome as a fart in a space suit for one reason or another.
to sum up though what people say-build quality is poor, fittings are poor, hull is thin and some have had cracking on gelcoat and the ride isn't very good either in anything but the flat.
i think that just about sums up the feelings on them.
cheers

i've called ribcraft and osprey today for quotes for a new boat. i'll phone round a few more over next few days but the adventure has done all i have asked of it thus far with aplom and that is all i can ask of it.
depending on the quotes i get and if the notion takes me i may just keep the 560 as i'm very happy with it-just want something at the 6-6.4m mark. adventure 620 is sure on the list of phone calls to make.
cheers

You should call Humber and ribquest IMHO. Humber as I have one and like it, ribquest as they really do seem to take care their current customers and produce smart boats based on recent threads!!

Avon Adventure
Has Xk59D or Moller actually been on a modern Adventure? My one is beautiful, with good handling, excellent fittings, no gel coat cracking etc etc. I have done my research and cannot find any negativity from anyone other than some that had warrenty issues and another whose engine was too heavy at the back.
I say they are great. I challenge anyone to dissagree.

i own a 2007 adventure........if that counts as being on a modern one :-)
my one also has none of the faults afore mentioned and i'm delighted with it.
let me clarify-i wasn't saying the bad things about the boat-you asked why the negativity and i just said what i've been told before when i asked before buying mine.
most i've spoke to like theirs, but as with everything some won't like it and think something else is better-such is life.
cheers
