11 mpg
See background, I towed this from Mallaig. I have been to John Price's place on a few occasions. Energy 1 came from his yard, yes they are narrow lanes. The cruiser only does 18mpg with no tow, but I wouldn't change it.

Possibly the slowest rig?
This is what the rig did look like. Sand soon finished off the original chasis. Hopefully the galvanised replacement (covered in epoxy paint - courtesy of Codprawn's advice) will last somewhat longer.
Just need to get that body work back on and get it through an MOT... Going out on the boat keeps distracting me and a 2 week job soon becomes 12mths.

I didn't get my rig in the photo, but what a chinook!
Here is part of my rig. I mainly use my Bombard 385 for fishing and it is outfitted as such. I take another picture on my next outting on Monday.

Good test for seeing if the tent can stand up to high winds though!

High wind testing in a Landie???
Perhaps tant manufacturers use landies for gentle summer meadow testing, discos for the small fells and the Bowler wildcat for himilayan type stuff?

My poor blazer, a Vortec 4.3 v-6 and it actually can and does pull the boat!
It is working like crazy but it handles it, barely! Pictures from two angles...
