Here's mine...

I love "Show and Tell"...

This is my rig, parked across the street from my place, taken today. It's snowing fairly heavily, with gale-force winds, so I'm staying put...

I pull with a GMC Yukon with a 5.3 l. V8, which does a great job. I trail the boat all over the Great Lakes, from the east end of Lake Superior to the St. Lawrence River, probably considerably farther than you are likely to go in Britain. (Not that this is a good thing!)

Today actually turned out pretty well... the wind had died out by this afternon! I got out for a little run on the lake, but the season is pretty mush over for most people now. All of the commercial boats are being lifted out tomorrow, so I'll have the entire lake to myself!

Not tough... just stupid! The problem with this fresh water, is that it gets rather solid for about four months every year, so I like to make the most of it.

I have some pictures someplace of me breaking ice in my old RIB... a Hurricane Mark III Hybrid... made by Hurricane before they were bought by Zodiac. It's surprising how well these little boats push through and over pack ice... I'll see if I can find them and post them...

I know how you feel regarding the ice, we get our fair share of it too in the winter months. Not much of a cold weather boater myself, winter sucks! The only break I get is when I head to the Florida Keys, Should have probably moved years ago but once you get that lake water in your veins you are a goner. The Great lakes are one of the best (if not the best) places in the world for boating when the weather permits. Your area is especially beautiful, Post some pictures when you get a chance.

I've been looking for a ladder like that. Can you provide a link to a dealer Diver, or is that a "factory" option?

Hi Jeff, whats the slipway like at Whitby, was this a first-time trip? I`d like to find somewhere a bit nearer to home than Northumberland, but a bit more to see than at Hartlepool! Launch fees? Freindly harbour master? cheers
