London Boat Show 19.01.2008
I visited the LBS yesterday and spent the whole day wondering round and looking at the exhibits.
what I enjoyed best was the show which followed the FASHION SHOW.
For those who missed it here are a few shots to give an idea what is was about

Everyone seems to be raving about the new Fjord but I reckon it's Emperor's new clothes syndrome - yuch!!!

That Sunseeker looks pretty cool though!!!
Andre have you lost the plot? If not give it to me - the plot that is!!!

No! not at all only when you go to a boat show you expect to see boats boats and boats and you take photos of boats boats and boats and post photos of boats boats and boats. Having enjoyed the entertainment show I thought of those who did not see it and would also have enjoyed it probably just like yourself so now you know what you have missed

It really is ugly isn't it
Looks like a cross between an 8 berth static caravan and one of those cruisers they rent out on the Norfolk Broads for holidays.
Nasher.

Nice bit of Kit, have not driven one (YET), this was the 850. We demoed the 850 with single 275 V @ southampton show and that was AWESOME. handled very well and gave a good deal of confidence in it. Even SWMBO came out on a couple of runs!!! a world first She only goes on ours if its mirror smooth out there!!!

Thanks Brian, I demo'd the XS850/Single Verado as well and was very impressed.
I'll let you know how the twin performs shortly!

No, I went out with Laurence last February. Unfortunately it was flat calm, but we played around in the Red Funnel wakes. I was very impressed with the boats turning ability, no tendency to jump out no matter what speed of entry and power setting and no tendency to bow steer. The quality was every bit as good, if not better than both my Tornados.
I take delivery of Spitfire next week, and funnily enough Martha's photo is the first time I've seen the RIB! The new 4 cylinder 200 Verados should hopefully give better consumption than the 6 cylinder ones, which will be much appreciated, given the boat has a 600 litre tank!
It will be hard paying for my own fuel again, but the RIB will just be for occasional use because my commercial work is still going to keep me busy.

Hi, love the new boat JIY.
On our way down to France we stopped and had a peep into the factory to see if we could see our boat. All we could see were two great big engines and a lot of seats, i guess it was your boat prior to going to the show. Looks great!
We are we are very impressed with our new XS (650) just can't wait for the engine to be properly broken in and start enjoying it. Hope you have a great season.

Many thanks, glad you like the new boat, I can't wait to see her on Wednesday!
Hope to see you out on the water some day, more than likely I'll be bouncing around a big orange Humber with "Cumbrae Voyages" on the side, but at least someone else will be paying for the fuel!
