Superb hull, superb engine (well i would say that wouldn't i)

Glad you're up and running, Robin. Now about this engine....you're obviously delighted with it but does it do everything it says on the box? I understand the ETech's have their own distinct sound but how do they compare noise-wise to the 4 strokes/ 2 strokes? I imagine it's got a bit more poke than the 4's but what are your initial impressions? The Ribcraft looks really good in yellow by the way.

Cheers Phil.
The engine is a lot quieter than other 2 strokes i have heard. I dont think it is as quiet as an equivalent 4 stroke but not far off.
It really does accelerate the boat very quickly and has a real load of oomph even towards the top end of the rev range.
I will let you know more tomorrow after i have taken her out again but with a gps so i can check sog at least.
Initial impression...impressed.

Looks great Robin, sorry you couldn't get to us at the weekend. Is that the Solent you were running in? It looks very different to Sat/Sun!

Hi Ian yes it was the Solent, about 1/2 mile out from Hayling Island this afternoon. Yup I am sorry too. The water looked erm emotional. I have to admit I looked at the forecast and went back to bed, used to be made of sterner stuff. hey ho. Looked like fun.

Thanks Mark...it wasnt too bad today, will be just as nice tomorrow too.ooooh i like the sound of your scorpion.
