John, it transformed the boat, had a Mercury 75 f/s on before, 33 kts was its upper speed,
Max had fitted the new 130 e Tec with a underpropped 17 pitch and achieved 40 kts, going to try a 19 pitch prop which all revs considered should achieve 44 +, yeeeeha!!

I doubt whether you'll get another 5 knts. Jim, myself and DHDai are running max HP boats, to achieve a 2knt improvement though prop tuning would be a major result.
There are not many ribs that get too far past the 45knt mark.

That could be faster than the 6.5 Vipermax with a 150 Etec

To tell the truth it wasn't me who clocked that speed, it was Mr Manning.

Slightly contrary to the owner of the Scrote Boat...
Maximus achieved 36-37 knots at around 5000RPM without going to WOT on Saturday running a 17" Viper prop. SO I reckon that prop will see 40-41knots when at WOT. If it can pull an 18 or 19" prop then 45 knots could be achievable
