sorry missed the part about the windscreens.
The main reason for using the forward slanting windscreen on our 9 and 10 metre RIB was that on a smaller cabin boat it gives much better visibility and makes it much more comfortable in the relatively "small" wheelhouse" . It is a very good solution for boats of that size. The downside of a front slanting screen is aerodynamics, it probably slows the boat down, but we are only talking of about 2-3 knots.
On the big boat we have plenty of room and very good 360 degree visibility hence we didn't need to make the cabin feel larger for comfort. So the aerodynamics factor took over. Plus on a 15m Cabin Rib it just looked sexier aswell ;-)
