I think this boat was not on the hunt, however we thought they were at the start. No idea who they are.

Superb pictures Andy - up to your usual standard!
Isn't the blue/yellow RIB one of the Solent demo RIBs?

If there is any interest I will put up an ftp site, where you can all upload the pictures in full resolution. Then I could put the onto a cd or dvd and mail out to you
Let me know if this has any interest

Its not easy on a speeding rib! Because it was a fairly sunny day, I could force the shutter speed up on my camera, so there is no blurring from camera shake. Also I can shoot at 3-4 shots / second, so for most of those pictures there are a couple of others that we didnt publish. The the great advantage of digital cameras are that you can throw the rest away!

These pictures were taken with a Nikon D100, using a 24-80 telephoto lens.

Ricky,
How do you keep the camera dry when you are on the boat?
I have just bought a D70 & I don't think it will take a soaking like my old 35mm SLRs did.
Cheers.

Hi Brambles
When I'm not using it it lives in a drybag in its case surrounded by something soft.
When I'm using it.... our boat is very dry unless you're out in high winds & F5 or more, which isnt really camera weather anyway! Usually keeping an eye out for waves & spray and using your body is enough to keep it dry. It wasnt a problem for the ribnet treasure hunt.

Thanks
Hi Ricky
Thanks for your reply. I was planning to do the same as you. I asked the question in the vain hope that you had discovered a camera cape/cover that actually worked! Like the website BTW. I took my PADI open water in Gozo this year & had a great time, but I haven't been diving in UK yet.
All the best.
Brambles.
